Our vision at Funny Biz! Laughter Yoga is to help spread the joy of laughter on a larger scale. We see the need for all the benefits of laughter to be brought into local businesses, schools, hospitals, offices and your own laughter club. Our team is trained and experienced in the joys of teaching Laughter Yoga.

Today’s world has become increasingly stressful. Laughter Yoga is an evidenced-based technique to reduce cortisol levels (stress hormone) in the body. After 20 minutes, Laughter Yoga releases a cocktail of “feel good” chemicals in the body ~ endorphins, serotonin, oxytocin and dopamine. The other benefits are engaging with others, which creates connection.

Funny Biz was inspired by the founder, Karmen, after teaching Laughter Yoga for 15+ years in her communities. She not only witnessed the positive effects it had on the participants of the classes, but also felt the resounding effects it had on her physiology. Karmen has taught hundreds of classes and certified many to be laughter leaders.

The “funny” story of how Karmen found Laughter Yoga: The founders of Laughter Yoga International from India contacted the yoga studio she owned to host the worldwide Laughter Yoga Teacher Training course. She had never heard of Laughter Yoga, but since they invited her to do the training she decided to stay and try it. After the first hour of doing Laughter Yoga, she absolutely fell in love with it and decided to do the week-long training to become a certified Laughter Yoga teacher.
